The Cedar Island Yacht Club is pleased to announce that our popular Youth Sail Program will be held again this summer 2021. If COVID hadn't interrupted our plans for 2020, this would have been our fourth year of year of operation.
The program is available to all children between the ages of 8 and 14.
The week long program is held at our beautiful facility located just west of Kingsville.
Instructors are highly trained professionals, specializing in working with youth new to sailing. No sailing experience whatsoever is required. Give us your children and we will give them back to you as sailors who are comfortable in and around the water. It will also open their eyes to a new world and sport.
We have our equipment, which is state of the art. RS Quba sailboats are used.
Because of COVID, we are offering only one course this year. The course is almost full but you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will put you on the waiting list, but more importantly, we can put you at the top of the list for 2022 and keep you on our e-mailing list.
ONE WEEK ONLY
The program is made up of core standards that promote progressive training of core dinghy sailing skills and knowledge. CANSail programming means lots of time on the water in a safe, fun and active learning environment. Sailors learn the skills and enter into fun and challenging experiences suited to their age and stage of development. The programming is designed to get – and keep – sailors excited about sailing for life!
